    First Birthday: Precious Moments Through the Year Stories
    For my first birthday my grandma gave me this book. It is a large book full of stories for every month. I remember my mom and I would read this everynight before bed. I loved looking at all the pictures and the stories were always interesting and fun to listen to and read.

    Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?
    This book is another one of the books that I first remember reading. It is an amazing book to read with kids because it has interesting pictures as well as it rhymes. Books that rhyme were always th easiest and funnest books to read.

    These books were another group of books that I was always interested in reading the next story. These books kept me interested. I always looked foreward to reading the next one.

    The Scholastic Book Fair was the first place that I bought a book all by myself. I used to save up money soley for the book fair. This fair helped build my interest in starting my own book collection.

    In second grade I chose to read the first Harry Potter book. Those books are HUGE. It took me the whole school year to read the book. This was the first book I actually struggled with. However, I did finish it completely with help from my teacher. Towards the end of the school day the teacher would give me time to go out into the hall and she would help me read the book. With her help i acomplished reading my biggest book.

    Elementary School: Reading Counts
    Reading Counts was one of the only reasons I read so much in elementary school. My firends and I used to have contests on who could get the highest amount of points. There were also prizes in my class for students with the highest amount of points. THe harder the book, the more points it was worth. It pushed me to read more difficult books, which in end made me a better reader.

    The Magic Tree House was one of the first series of books where i continued to read one book after another. I continued to be interested in the series. I was never not interested in picking up a Magic Tree House book.

    These books were the first series of books I chose to buy outside of school related stories. I never bought books because I didn't really read them. However, this series is the first series I bought and read all of them out of pure pleasure of reading.

    Danielle Steel is an author that has traveled through generations in my family. It was my grandma's favorite author, then my mother's, and she has passed on the books to me. I have only read a few, but I am looking foreward to having the free time to read more.
