  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    George Washington lead a troop to Ohio River Valley to protect colonists from French. He was alienated to the native Indians, so they could only fight alone. However at the end, British defeated French, and French had to leave America. This was siginificant because this war involved a lot of British American colonists, they were protect themselves using their own lives. It made colonists pround of them, and this event laid a strong foundation for the independence of America later on.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    British added an addition tax to all legal paper ducuments. This was also a direct tax to raise revenue. However this event made American colonists very mad, they wanted to be treat equally. This lead to colonists avoid to purchase British goods. Stamp Act was significant, because this act made the relationship worse between British and colonies.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    British company tried to lower the price of tea however adding tax on tea, colonists dumped all the tea into the ocean. This made British government so mad. Boston Tea Party was significant because colonists tried everything to stand for their freedom and justice. This was one of the most important event lead to independence.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    British government punished colonies because of Declaratory Act, Townshend Duties, Boston Port Act, Mass Government Act, and Administration of Justice Act. These acts made British really mad, and they lost tons of capital. British government asked colonies to pay back all the money that they lost, especially from Boston Tea Party. This event was significant because this event brought all the colonies together.
  • Second Continental Congress

    Second Continental Congress
    All colonies met together. They sent a "Olive Branch Petition" to British government in order to show their loyalty and things that want British government to change. However the Biritish King rejected it, and later on colonies sent the Declaration of Independence to the King. This event was significant because it started the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
