French and Indian War
The French and Indian war was one of the causes of the Revolutionary War. It was a cause because to pay for all the supplies the soldiers needed the Parliment taxed the colonists. The colonists were not satisfied at all. -
Proclimation of 1763
The proclimation of 1763 said that all lands west of the heads of all rivers which flowed into the Atlantic Ocean from the west or northwest were off-limits to the colonists. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was passed in 1764. It was when the Parliment taxed sugar on the colonists. The colonists werent happy about this because they used sugar alot and didnt feel like paying tax for it. -
The Stamp Act
This Act was passed in 1765 and it was when the Parliment taxed stamps on the colonists. -
The Quatering Act
In 1765 Parliment passed the Quatering Act. This asct was passed to address the practical concerns of such a troop deployment. -
Townshend Act
This Act was passed in 1767 and it taxed glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. -
Boston Massacare
The Boston Massacare was a street fight that happened between the colonists and the British soldiers. There was a Pariot mob throwing snowballs and sticks and the soldiers. Several colonists were killed and many were injured. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was when the colonists were getting sick and tired of being taxed on tea so they poured it all out in the harbor and had some cruek consiquenses. -
The Boston Port Act
The Boston Port Act was apart of the Intolarble acts. It was one of the consiquenses of the Boston tea Party and it closed down the harbor so no ships could come in or out. -
Administration of Justice Act
The Admisinistration of Justice Act was passed in 1774 and it wouldnt allow colonists to have a trial in the colonies they had to go back to England. -
Lexington and Concord
During the battle of Lexington and Concord Britsh General Thomas Gage had a secret plan. During his plan he would send out regiments of British soldiers quartered in Boston. Their destinations were Lexington, where they would capture Colonial leaders Sam Adams and John Hancock, then Concord, where they would seize gunpowder. -
Green Mountain Boys
Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys seize Fort Ticonderoga on May 10, 1775 -
Bunker Hill
It took the British three times to win this battle. The first two times they were defeated but the third time the Rebels ran out of ammunition so the British dominanted and won. -
"Common Sense"
January 15, 1776 Thomas Paine wrote a fifty page phamplet called "Common Sense". He wrote to persuade the loyalists to come on to the Patriotic side. -
Washington Crosses the Deleware River
On December 25, Christmas night George Washington took his army and crossed the Deleware River. He Crossed the Deleware River then he went Pennsylvania and he stayed in Pennsylvania with his troups.
