    On April 5th, 1764 tax was put on sugar and molassas that was imported from the French and Spanish West Indies by the first parliament resulting in hurting the rum industry that used molassas in their rum.

    All legal documents require a government tax stamp and resulted in colonists protested, refused to pay, burned tax and started riots.

    On a May 3rd, 1765 colonists had to find a space for british soldiers to be stationed in America and resulted in the colonists taking it as another attack on their rights and were removed and placed in New York.

    On March 5th, 1770 an deliberate attack on innocent civilans resulted in people dying and soldiers put on trial then released out of Boston. Only 2 soldiers were given light punishment.

    Chests full of tea were broken into and dumped into the harbor whoch infuriatd the British officials and brought more repressive laws.

    In the parliament of 1774 passed a series of laws, the Coercive Acts, to punish the rebellious colonists and in the colonies the laws were called the Intolerable Acts. This caused the first of the Acts closed the port of Boston and another gave the royal government nor much more control over Massachusetts.

    Delegates met in Philidelphia at the first continental congress and agreed that each colony would have one vote and that the Parliament had too much power which brought colonists together as Americans and issued the declaration of rights protesting against Britains rights.

    General Gage planned a suprise attaxk on Concord with 700 British troops which resulted in being greatly outnumbered when they showed up to attack because they could be heard when they were marching but still decided to attack.
