    The French and Indian War Started on May 28 1754 with the battle of Jumonville Glen.The war started because of the French and British both thought they controled the Ohio River Valley and other parts of North America. George Washington defeated the French with a surprise attack in this battle.

    The Treaty of Paris signed on Febuary 10 1763. It gave Britain control of most of North America. Britain emerged as the leading colonial empire. But as this was a costly war Britian needed money which they took from the colinies leading to Revolution.

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight between a mob of angry citizens and the british soldiers in Boston Massachusettes on March 5,1770. The colonists tired of british soldiers occupying their city threw snowballs, sticks, stones, and insults at the british soldiers. The soldiers fired into the crowd killing 5 people and wounding 8 others. This help caused the revolution by inraging the colonists against the british.

    The Tea Act would be the final thing to get on the colonists nerves to lead to the revolution. The Tea Act was not supposed to raise money in the colonies but to help out the east india company which was failing. This tea was shipped to the colonists but the colonists thought the british was trying to raise popularity of the townshend acts and as a result most of the tea was left to rot and the Boston Tea Party occured.

    The Boston Tea Party occured on December 16, 1773. The colonists were fed up with the Tea Act and so instead of drinking the tea, colonists from Boston destroyed the tea by throwing it into the ocean. This helped cause the Revolution because the British signed in the Intolerable Acts to law to punish the colonists for this which made the colonists really angry.

The british defeated the americans at Lexington but when they got to Concord they were forced to go back to Boston while new waves of colonial millitia intercepted them causing 125 casualties. Also, it stated that the 13 colonies were at war with Britain and no longer was a part of Britain. Many colonists were very happy because they finally had got what they wanted.
