  • Bacon's Rebellion

    Cause: Native was accused of stealing corn from a man and they started to fight.
    Event: Bacon wanted to start a war with them and he gathered men to do that but then the governor of Virginia stopped him so he burned down Jamestown because of that.
    Aftermath: They hung 25 of the rebels and made slavery worse because of the incident.

    Great awakening

    Cause: A handful of preachers went town to town in the colonies talking about Christianity.
    Event: Preachers went around talking about giving the religion a rebirth, and they talked about how everyone was born sinful and also how religion should not be formal but personal and many more things.
    Aftermath: Churches where spilt up over the idea and there where more baptist because of this. It also made Christianity less strict because it was more personal.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Cause: France and England started a war
    Event: France and England signed a peace treaty because France won the war
    Aftermath: France And England had peace. They were drained of resources and money.
  • Proclamation line of 1763

    Cause: England and France fighting over land
    Event: England claimed all the land west of the Appalachian mountains and France would not be allowed to expand towards that land.
    Aftermath: it started Protiac's rebellion and stoped Indian rampages according to the king of England. Also, the Indians were upset because they were taken away from their land.

    Cause: Was the proclamation line of 1763, and the natives were upset because they were dissatisfied with the changes made by England because they like the french because they respected them more.

    Event: The natives gathered 300 men tried to take over fort Detriot they lost so they gathered triple the men and got more of England's forts and turned the tied toward them.\
    Aftermath: England proposed to end the war and respect them more but they were unable to kick the out of the great lake.
  • British Coloinal acts

    Cause: England needed money because they had 7 years of war with France so they taxed the colonies because they said it was to protect them.
    Event: England taxed the colonies and they were upset because they didn't have anyone representing them so they boycotted England's good and they got what they wanted.
    Aftermath: people started arguing with the crown and the soldiers.
  • Boston Massacre

    Casuse: People and soldiers were getting aggressive because of the taxes from the crown and the intolerable acts.
    Event: A large group of protesters went around a group of soldiers and they killed some of the protesters
    Aftermath: People were more upset with soldiers and with the crown so they started to take action.
  • Boston Tea party

    Cause: People were upset because England was taxing all imported goods so they boycotted the good and they took away the taxes on everything except tea.
    Event: A group of people named the suns of liberty went to a British ship angry about the tax on tea so they dumped it all into the Boston harbor.
    Aftermath: It tightens restrictions on colonies and it was paid for by the colonist
  • First continental congress

    Cause: British taxes were upsetting so they met to discuss what they should do about protesting the taxes.
    Event: They went to talk about the British and what they should do about them and talk about resistance.
    Aftermath: IT helped America see they wanted independence from Britain.

    Cause: To show how great America is and how strong they are.
    Event: To have America break free from England and declare independence from England.
    Aftermath: People agreed with it and wanted to become independent from England.
