  • The Proclamation of 1763

    The British signed a document that stated they had control over North America.
  • The Sugar Act

    Parliament passed The Sugar Act which lowered the work on molasses from foreign businesses.
  • Stamp Act of 1766

    The Stamp Act made it so legal documents and other printed things must have a tax stamp. The stamps would then be traded in for tax.
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    A series of measures passed by Parliament tat taxed goods had to be imported directly to the American Colonies.
  • The Boston Massacre

    It was a deadly measure and a riot.
  • Tea Act

    Tea would be directly shipped to colonies, and not stop in England first. Then, the tea would be sold in the colonies.
  • Boston Tea Party

    This was a protest that made American colonists dumped 342 crates of tea of of the ship and into the water.
  • Intolerable Act

    This act punished the colonists in Massachusetts for the Boston Tea Party, and many things got shut down until they paid back the amount of the tea.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    A meeting between delegates from most of the colonies that proposed the colonies and Great Britain could form a Union. The delegates declined the proposal.
  • The French and Indian War

    France and Britain fought to see who should control North America.
