  • The French and Indian War

    The War began in 1754 and ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The war provided Great Britain enormous territorial gains in North America

    The stamp act was signed to help pay for British troops stationed in the colonies during the 7 years war.

    The tea act was an act of the parliament of great Britain. The principal objective was to reduce the larges amounts of tea help by the financially troubled British.

    It was a political protest, that occurred on December 16, 1773. Americn colonists were mad at Britain for imposing "taxation without representation."
  • Intolerable acts

    The intolerable acts were punitive laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774, After the Boston tea party. The laws meant no punishment for Massachusetts colonists.
  • 1st continental congress

    Each of the 13 colonies except for Georgia met in Philadelphia as the First continental congress to organize colonial resistance to parliament's coercive acts.
