    Cause: King George III responded to Pontiac's Rebellion by a proclamation. Event: The proclamation made a line so that the colonists could not expand west past the Appalachian Mountains. Aftermath: Colonists were upset

    Cause: The Boston Massacre enraged the colonies. Event: The colonies sent a representative each to a meeting called the First Continental Congress. Aftermath: They began boycotting all British goods
