    The proclamation of 1763 whoa on October 7,1763. It's where King George the third for as any settlement. Past the line drawn along the Mississippi River. Which happened after the French and Indian war. King George presented the proclamation as a measure to calm fear of the Indians.

And even undercut the intention of the taxes. The English product would be cheaper than the French. Which hurt the British markets.
