    France was beaten in the war and was ready to negotiate the Treaty of Paris.
  • The Stamp Act

    The stamp act was passed by the british goverment on March 22, 1765, This act was the law that all documents sent by ships, cars, etc. will have to be payed for, unless delivered by hand.

    The Townshend Act was a series of acts that the British Parliment decided was nessesary and was later taken down all except for the act of tax of tea, Later ended by the Boston Tea Party.

    The Boston Massacre was a Street fight that went down on March 5, 1770, this was a brawl between a mob of colonist throwing snowball, stones, and sticks at a group of British regulars, this lead to the death of many Colonist and inspired many authors.

    The Tea act was the final tax that the British Parliment posed on the Colonist and was also the "last straw" for the colonist that were already eager to wage war on the british.

    On the night of December 16, 1773, Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty boarded three ships in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chests of tea overboard.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable acts were laws passed by the British Parliament after the Boston Tea Party, these acts were that the Boston harbors were closed, Only wood and firewood was allowed in the harbor, Town meetings were banned, etc.
  • Lexington and Concord

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord, fought on April 19, 1775, kicked off the American Revolutionary War. Tensions had been building for many years between residents of the 13 American colonies and the British authorities, particularly in Massachusetts. On the night of April 18, 1775, hundreds of British troops marched from Boston to nearby Concord in order to seize an arms cache.
