Decembrist Revolt
The Decembrist Revolt was when a group of nobels and military men gathered in a group and started peacefully protesting. Then loyal military people opened fire on those men. This leads to the revolution because it showed people the the loyalty was eroding away. -
Nicholas II becomes czar of Russia
When Nicholas II became czar, he didn;t want to be one. He had no knoledge of running a country. That is one of the reasons that he was disliked. He didn't want to run the country. He just wanted to have fun with his family. -
The Russo-Japanese War
The war between Russia and Japan happened over the land of Korea. This war was devestating for Russia. In this war, Russia had lost about 400,000 men. This helped lead to the revolution by not trusting the government to lead their country to victories. -
Bloody Sunday
Unarmed protesters in Russia were protesting peacefully led by father Gregory were opened fire on in St. Petersburg. This was another example of how people's loyalty to the throne was slowly going away. -
WWI Russia Involvement
When Russia got involved with WWI, the peasants suffered the most. Russia's food was going to soldiers who were losing the war. That got the peasants riled up who were starving to go against the Russian government. Because of this, Russia had to get out of that war and lose land to Germany. -
The March Revolution
Workers wanted a 50% wage increase to buy food and they were refused. They rioted and were not in a job. More and more people joined them as they raided prisons and freed those people. That is how it led to the revolution. -
Nicholas II Abdicated Throne
All of the riots wih the workers had led to the czar abdicating. The people had set up a provisional government to take its place. This had led to the revolution by giving different governments power that could then lead to war. -

In this was the Bolsheviks are fighting the Mensheviks. These people are supporting two different types of governments. This leads to the revolution because it is now fighting over what type of government to put in to power. -
The Creation of the USSR
The USSR was created by the Bolsheviks when they defeated the Mensheviks in a war. This event is significant because it puts a new type of government instead of the czars. The USSR split up the lad between the people of Russia. -
Vladimir Lenin's Death
Vladimir had died on Jan 21 because of a brain hemorrhage ot age 54. His was death was signifocant because he was the leader of the USSR and was in chage.
