My birth
This is the day I was born. I was born on Saturday at 14:00, in a sunny day. Also, I was born one month early, that's the reason I was a premature baby.
My mom always said that I was born earlier because I just wanted to see the world. I was a little baby, my weight was about two kilos.
When I was a baby, I only used to sleep and eat. My parents tell me, that I was such a happy baby because I was always smiling, it was a strange situation if I cried. -
My first word
When I was about five months, I said the word "Tata". That was the way I used to call my sister afterwards. Only a few days after, I started to talk a lot.
Since I started to discover how to communicate whatever I was thinking in Spanish, I didn't keep quiet. Knowing a language was so important because I could express myself without problems. Summarizing, I was a very talkative girl. -
My first day of school
The first day of school was a big adventure for me. When my mother told me that I was going to the school, I started to jump because of the happiness. How I said before, I was a very talkative and curious girl, and that was my opportunity to discover something new, and of course, to make friends.
The first day, meanwhile some children were non-stop crying, I was with a big smile in the face. In the school, I started practising how to speak properly in Spanish and Catalan at the same time. -
My first foreign language (ENGLISH)
At the age of three, I started to study a foreign language. I started to take extra lessons of English, because it's an important language nowadays. Although I only started playing games and singing carol songs, I learnt a lot of vocabulary. So I started to learn English, having fun at the same time. Since then, I wanted to improve my English level. -
First problem
One day when I was with my best friend in a trip, a little boy started to speak with me in English and I wanted to speak with him and I tried. The problem was that I couldn't speak fluently because I was too young.
However, I got angry because I couldn't speak perfectly with him and since then I wanted to learn how to speak in English without mistakes. I am a very competitive and determined person, when I want to do something I do it. -
Paris time
My first contact with another foreign language was when I traveled to France with my family. It was the first time I listened that strange language. When we arrived to Paris, the love city, my sister and I used to imitate French accent as a game.
Actually, my first contact with French was when I traveled with my family to Corsica, but unfortunately I was too younger to remember the language.
Then, my little sister and I tried to speak in French just to order our food or to make friends. -
Montpellier time
I had taken a French intensive course in France for a week, as a part of a school trip. When I was there, I used to speak French with the native family.
Then, by spending time in France, I was able to hear, speak, read and write the language constantly, which gave me the opportunity to improve my French skills.
However, I reckon that the best way to learn a foreign language is by spending time with no help in another country. -
New destiny, England
When I was about fourteen years old, my parents decided that I was mature enough to go for myself to Scarborough, England. So I didn't waste my chance to travel abroad.
I was in England for three weeks with an English family, that's the reason I improved my English level. Also, I went everyday to an academy to take English lessons, with native teachers and students from different countries. That's why to make friends we were obligated to speak in English as a common language between us. -
English Camp
This summer, I have been in an English summer camp for three weeks. While I was staying there, I was preparing myself to pass the First Certificate, where afterwards I had passed the exam succesfully.Also, I was studying there with different native teachers. Last day, the school had given to me a certificate, because I had successfully completed the English course and I had obtained the Advanced level.
They had taught me the real friendship value and how learning can be fun. -
Nowadays
Actually, with an effort I'm trying to study hard to take the Advance exam in a couple of years. I want to improve my Englis knownledge because of my future and to feel proud of myself.
From my point of view, learning new languages it's a very big sign of culture and intelligence. And I reckon that if we have the option to be better in something, we have to take with no dubts.
