    Rain Breaks her Hip
    Rain, Cap's guardian, falls out of a tree while picking fruit. Cap drove her to the hospital (illegally) and found that she had broken her hip. Cap is forced to move into the Donnelly home and go to Claverage Middle (dubbed C Average by students).
  • Cap meets Hugh

    Cap meets Hugh
    Since Hugh has been the target of most bullying his whole life, he finds it easy to emphasize with Cap. He sits next to Cap in the cafeteria and soon they develop a friendship. Hugh sympathizes with Cap but can't help feeling a bit relieved since Cap has pulled him out of the line of fire when it comes to spitballs and wedgies.

    Cap is Elected Student Body President
    When Cap first went to C Average, he didn't know about the amusing student made tradition - to nominate the biggest 'weirdo' for 8th-grade president. The original nominee was going to be Hugh Winkleman, the 'computer geek' ever since kindergarten. But when Zach Powers (the schools most popular 8th-grader) first lays his eyes on Cap, he decides that he's the one. Zach even convinces Cap that he needs to learn every name in the school - all 11000 of them.

    Cap gives Sophie a Driving Lesson
    Meanwhile, at home, Cap and Sophie [Donnelly] haven't been getting along very well. Ms. Donnelly has noticed that Sophie has been rejecting Cap in all of his attempts to get along. Finally, behind Ms. Donnelly's back, Cap decides to give Sophie an illegal driving lesson. Sophie knows that she shouldn't take a lesson from someone who was almost arrested for under-aged driving but she takes the chance. Sophie greatly improves in not only driving, but also her relationship with Cap.

    Cap Drives the School Bus
    Cap, at 12 years old, had already driven the Garland pickup truck hundreds of times, but he had never driven a school bus. When the bus driver suddenly collapsed while driving the bus home, Cap knew what he had to do. He ran up towards the front of the bus and drove it to the hospital. Despite being lectured by the police, Rain told him it was the right thing to do. He knows he saved a life... and so does everyone else. Cap is beginning to rise up from his lowly rung on the ladder.
  • Cap's Tye-Dye Clinic

    Cap's Tye-Dye Clinic
    Cap is a bit confused on his sudden uprise in popularity, but he decides to accept it. Everyone in the school is talking about the school bus feat and Cap is still trying to memorize names. He decides to organize a small workshop to meet some new people. When a third of the school is packed into the Art Room ready to Tye-Dye, Cap takes the chance to learn some more names. Cap gets another huge boost in popularity as well as quite a few more friends.
  • Mr. Kasigi gives Cap the Checks

    Mr. Kasigi gives Cap the Checks
    Cap, after being born and raised on a commune, Cap had no idea how a check worked, and after Mr. Kasigi gave him a whole stack of signed checks with very little instruction on how they worked, he saw it as nothing more than a chance to give. Cap gives out thousands of dollars to charities and fundraisers (with the exception of a bracelet for Sophie). Little did Cap know, all of the money was coming from the school's account.
  • The Pep Rally

    The Pep Rally
    Thanks to Cap's growing popularity levels, Hugh Winkleman was back in the line of fire and Zach Powers was slowly being dragged down from the top of the social chain. Zach and Hugh (once enemies) decide to unite in an attempt to lower Cap's popularity, they devise a plan to carry out at the pep rally. Cap gets tackled by the entire football team, (who all thought it was a popularity stunt) and got caught in the middle of a fight and was punched. Cap then returns to Garland later that day.
  • Halloween Dance is Cancelled

    Halloween Dance is Cancelled
    After Mr. Kasigi discovers what Cap did with the checks, he is forced to cancel the Halloween dance (aka the biggest party of the year). Because of the sudden cancellation with no explanation, students begin to spread ridiculous rumors about what happened to Cap. Soon, a not-so posthumous Memoriam is planned at the time of the would-be dance.
  • Cap's Tribute

    Cap's Tribute
    After the rumors have gone too far, nearly every student in the school shows up to pay their respects to the living 8th-grade president. With 10000 students standing in a parking lot, all dressed in 60s fashion, with Beatle's tunes playing softly, everyone is surprised to see the 8th-grade president himself shows up. And after 6 weeks of learning others' names, he decides to say goodbye to the whole school - individually. Without flinching or making any mistakes, Cap bids farewell to his friends
  • Rain Sells Garland

    Rain Sells Garland
    After hearing about Cap's stories/experiences/friends she realizes that her current childcare plan won't work forever. She later sells Garland farm for $16 million and buys a condo. She explains the situation to Cap, who is partly glad to return to C Average. His entire life, he has been told that society is poison and something to avoid. When he experiences real life for 6 weeks, he realizes that although it is different - very different, different doesn't always mean bad.
