A man woke up inside a room. He wondered where he would be, since everything was dark and he didn't see where he was. He began to spin and found that he was in a room, in a prison room. He wondered what crime he would have committed to be there. in the center of the room he found a well. torturers or jailers brought him food, a jug of water and bread. He ate a little and went back to sleep. -

When he woke up, he moved his hand to the side and realized he was tied to a bed, but he could move her arms. He was thirsty and tried to reach the water with his arm, but he did not reach it, he took a piece of meat that was there and brought it to his mouth, but it was covered in salt and spices, the torturers wanted him to be very thirsty. He looked at the ceiling and there was a pendulum, which began to swing from head to foot, he wondered if that would be his death. -

the day Mr Valdemar was going to die, he called the hypnotist to tell him that he would not live another day, that he must be hyotonized. Then, the hypnotist approached Mr Valdemar's house and was sitting on the bed with a pen writing something. Then, he hypnotized him, but when he was hypnotized, the hypnotist asked him 2 times if he was alive and both times he said yes, but did not wake him up that he was dying. The hypnotist through a mirror saw that Me, Valdemar was breathing. -

When Mr. Valdemar died, a voice came out of him saying that he was already dead. but the doctor did not sign that he was dead since his appearance did not change and everything remained the same. So, the hypnotist decided to end it and wake Mr. Valdemar. It was when Mr. Valdemar started to get yellow liquid out of his body, and a terrible plague. it ended up turning into a yellow liquid and bones. -

A man was riding a horse, heading to the Usher house. That house belonged to his old childhood friend, Roderick. His friend had written him a letter saying "I'm going crazy." When he arrived, he observed how the house was, a black building which was surrounded by a lake, he went over the bridge with the horse, knocked on the door and the servant went out and accompanied him to Roderick's room. The hallways were gloomy. -

When he saw his friend he did not know him, since they are the same age but he seemed older. He was pale and ill and his hair was silver gray. Her sick sister (Madeline) entered Roderick's room (her brother), she was pale and her eyes glittered strangely, she was wearing a black dress with a high neck. She was neither awake nor asleep. The servant accompanied the friend to his room and before dinner he rested for 1 hour. -

Roderick screams and they both die. His friend leaves the house on horseback and turns on the road and watches as the house collapses and falls into the lake. -

The Maelstron is a giant whirlpool found in the sea near the Norwegian coast. In the northwest of Norway there is a region called Norland, which has a group of islands. Two of them are Moskoe and Vurrgh, between them is a narrow place where the sea turns and runs in a circle. A man went to Norway to see the Maelstrom, paid a guide to show it to him. They climbed a cliff that was atop the slope of the "Helsegger in Cloudy" mountain. -

they were on the edge of the cliff, which was a thousand feet above the sea. the visitor to Norway became sick and scared and stepped back. the guide told him to look at the two islands and they were two black rocks. the water turned dark and the tide began to turn. it got very aged and turned into a lot of foam. suddenly it became softer, and the dark water began to move in circles faster. until a kind of black and dark well was created which was the Maelstrom. -

The guide started shouting a question, how old do you think I am? They both backed away from the cliff and the guide asked the question again, which the visitor answered saying he was 60, but it was not, the guide told him he was 40 but the Maelstrom made him old. His hair was white and there were lines on his face. And began to tell his story to the visitor. He told him that 3 years ago, he and his brothers in a boat went fishing near Moskoe, at 7 in the morning on July 10. -

The stranger walked from the blue to the purple room and the Prince chased him from green to orange and from white to violet. -

The stranger stopped in the black room, and stood in front of the clock, then, the Prince took a knife and went for it, then the light of the fire that entered through the window reflected the whole red room and the stranger in the color of the blood. At that moment the stranger turned and was not wearing a mask, it was when the Prince fell to the ground and all the guests ended up dying and the entire castle was red, now the governor was the stranger. -

A man lived in new york and his friends were spending a few months in Charleston, South Carolina. The man returned to New York by boat, and it took 6 days to get from Charleston to New York if the weather was good, but if there were storms it took 8 days. He met a friend from Cornelius Wyatt University, whom he had not seen in a long time, and was an artist, painted pictures and was from New York, on June 15 the two traveled in the same boat, to go to New York. -

One day there was a storm and the ship hit a rock and everyone had to get off the ship because it was sinking. They all jumped into the boats except Cornelius who did not want to jump without the box, so he fell into the water and nothing more was known about him or the box. -

A month later the man met the captain of the day the ship sank, and they were talking about that day, the captain told him that in the box was the dead wife of Cornelius Wyatt, who died suddenly on June 14 the day before traveling by boat, in Charleston. The captain said he only knew that.
