Billy is born -
School
Graduates high school, and attends one of semester at Illium school of optometry before being drafted into WWII -
Stranded
Billy is with his unit as it gets bombed and he is the only survivor. Not knowing really how to fight because he is a chaplain's assistant he finds other stranded soldiers. In this time he flashes back to when he was a child and hid dad was "teaching him how to swim" when he just threw him in the pool and almost drowned. This is the first time he is 'unstuck' in time. His father dies in a hunting accident. -
Fight
German soldiers and a police dog caught Weary nearly beating Billy to death. They both get taken to a POW camp where they meet other POW's. They are escorted to Dresden in a train that was overcrowded, disease filled, and a dump. Billy falls asleep on his turn to sit and wakes up in his abduction. -
The Lions Club
Billy is elected president of the Lion's club and during his speech blinks and flashes back in time. When he was severely beaten by another member Weary. -
Abducted
Billy gets taken by Tralfamadorians. He knew this would happen because he has seen it in his head multiple times. While being abducted he is in a zoo naked and meets Montana and they have a child together. -
The letter
Billy writes a letter to his town and describes about the appearance the Tralflamadorians. He describes them as 2 feet high and hands shaped like plumbers hands with a green eye in the middle. They can see in 4 dimensions. -
Plane Crash
Happens in Vermont and kills everyone on board except him. Also the first time Vonnegut uses the phrase "so it goes." He suffers a major head trauma -
Widowed
Billy's wife, Valencia dies while on her way to visit Billy in the hospital after the plane crash. She dies of carbon monoxide poisoning. -
Death
Billy says that when he dies, he will be speaking at an engagement in Chicago on the nature of time and flying saucers. While he is speaking he predicts his death and tells about Lazzaro's promise to kill him for Weary. He ends his speech with a message saying his death is not eternal. In an hour as Billy is leaving the stage he is shot and killed by a sniper from someone in the press box.
