    One of the several laws that restricted immigration from Asia. There was a fee they had to pay to get into Canada from Asia. today people from Asia make up the biggest group of immigrants that come to Canada.

    Komagata Maru Incident
    it was a charter ship from Hong Kong carrying immigrants. This ship was carrying 376 passengers all were British subjects and 24 of them were admitted to Canada. They were challenging the continuous passage regulation which stated that any immigrants coming to Canada must come from there country of birth or citizenship. This law was brought up in 1908.

    This interment was held under the war measures act. It was part of confinement of enemy aliens in Canada during and after the end of the first world war in 1914 to 1920.

    In 1939, there were camps which were used for the internment of enemy aliens. Italian Canadians were held during the war under the War Measures Act. The majority of Italian Canadians from central and eastern Canada were sent to Petawawa in June 1940.

The immigration act would not aloud to state his case in person or appeal to the governments decision on his case. This was going against the charter of rights so it was canceled.
