    The explanation of rockets arrived in the year of 1687, when Sir Isaac newton explained the three laws of motion. Newton's third law, (To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.) was particularly useful is the explanation of how rockets work.
  • Rocket pioneer

    The first person to establish many of the main ideas of modern rocketry was a Russian schoolteacher, named Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. He realized that in order for rockets to go past earths gravity they would have to have liquid fuel instead of solid.

    Robert Goddard invented a cooling system for the gasses that were leaving the rocket. This made the rocket much more efficent.

    The first impact into another planet was Venus. This was important because it was a different planet besides the moon. It was sent by the USSR. The name of the mission was Vanera 1.

    The first men on the moon were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. The mission was Apollo 11 and the USA sent them. This ended the space race.

    The ISS or international space station was a space station that involved the USA, Japan, Canada, Russia, Brazil and Europe. The first crew was sent in 2000. But the first parts were sent in 1997.

    Rovers have been sent to Mars by the USA and other countries. They take pictures of Mars and report it to NASA and other space industries.

    The Cassini mission is studying saturns planet titan. Titan has some of the same living conditions we do. This important because we could in fact be able to live there if all is good.
