Going back in time, we see the Boy murder a woman and child in a moment of haste

Boy ditches the Jewellery taken from the woman he murdered, throwing them (in his backpack) into a river

Boy meets the Policeman at a service station, and they exchange names

Policeman takes them both back to his house - where the murder took place

Policeman takes them to a hotel, and after the Policeman leaves, the boy runs away, back to his old house with the Caretaker, to reclaim his items

After the Caretaker leaves, the Policeman enters and confronts the boy about murdering his wife and child

Policeman shoots Boy

6 Months Later - The boy (not actually dead) meets the now Ex-Policeman at the jail where he now resides

The Boy continues to return week after week, and the story is left ambiguous as to whether the Policeman will agree to see with him again
