    In hopes that the Alies will abandon the idea of a unified Germany, The Soviet Union cuts off all supplies and traffic to West Berlin. However, American and British military find a way around this and fly supplies every 3 minutes for 11 months until the Soviet Union lifts the blockade.

    Due to the UN pushing for a divided Palestine and sympathy for the Jews after the holocaust, The independent state of Israel was formed, resulting in six Arab nations attacking the new Israel and then the Jews controlling a total of 77% of Palestine.

    As a result of West Germany joining NATO, the Soviet Union made an alliance with Eastern European countries, known as the Warsaw Pact.

    When Eygpt siezed the Suez Canal, the first Arab-Israeli war broke out. As a result of this war, Egypt lost but got the West Bank, Israel gained the Gaza Strip, and the P.L.O. was created in 1964.

    When the U.S. discovered that the Soviets had secret sites for missile building in Cuba, they obviously saw it as a threat due to Cuba's proximity to Florida. The U.S.'s response was to blockade Cuba until the Soviets agreed to get rid of thier missiles if the U.S. agreed to not invade Cuba.
