Unlike the "video" recorder on our iphones, back then it was a big recording device, with a big battery, attached to a sling that could hang on your shoulder while recording. Since recording with this big device, it caused a grainy effect if a 2 minute vidoe was being shot. -

Like the video cassette, a CD was much similar, It came around in 1982-1983 when we called it the " compact disk ". It was used for several occasions, such as music, or a radio station. -

These phones were really simple when they came out. It was also similar to a walkie-talkie. One side handled your voice, while the other handled the voice of the caller. This cordless phones was also popular because the cord wasnt needed and around the house or yard you can talk on the phone. -
Graphical User Interphase
The graphical user interface allows use to use electronic devices with graphical icons and visual indicators. Everyone that uses a GUI today shows that we would be lost without the graphical user interface. -
Fax Machines
Around the 1980's, a flood of devices got flooded in. People even connected their answering machines and portable phones so that they could get into the services. The fax machine also appeared around that time. You can send a shet paper to someone, anywhere in the population with a signature in seconds. Since e-mail didn't exist at that time, this was a big help ot the military. -
Answering Machines
Think about voice mails and answering machines. There were 2 buttons to this answering machine, the one for recording incoming calls, and outgoing messages. By the mid 1980's many had an answering machine due to the simple process.
