    The U.S. supreme court shut down segregated schools. The case was named after Oliver Brown who's daughter was not allowed to attend the all white school in their Topeka,Kansas neighborhood. In 1951 the N.A.A.C.P filed a lawsuit for Oliver and others. four other people were also trialed that same day and all of the cases were named Brown v.s. the board of education.At the end of the cases chief justice earl warn announced the courts anonymous decision that it was unconstitutional.

This is important because it was another huge step to geting equal rights.
