    Ohio Valley Was the land which the British and the French, and the Natives claimed. In 1754, the French and the Natives attacked the Britsh in The Onio Valley. The British retaliated and sent soldiers to the French detachment in Ohio Valley and ambushed them, but were defeated by greater French army. Effects: Marks the beginning of the fighting in North America. Who Won: French
  • Acadians

    Acadians
    What Happened: In 1755, The British sent troops to Nova Scotia, and The Expulsion of the Acadians began. During 1755 to 1764, 10,000 Acadians were expelled from Nova Scotia because the British didn't trust them because of their French roots. Effect: This was considered to be the first act of war. The French decided to retaliate against the British. Who Won: British
  • The German Flatts

    What Happened: The French Attacked the German flatts in the Ohio Valley. They used the Native style of quick and hard attack. This worked, and they killed 50 British Colonists, and took 150 more. Effect: The number of casualities escalated the war.
  • Beaupre shore

    What happened: Knowing that the British are coming, the French send their people to build trenchees and rebouts. Effects: I helps the French win when the British attack the shore.
  • Siege of Louisbourg

    Siege of Louisbourg
    What happened: Wolfe Sends 14,000 soldiers to Louisburg to get to Quebec. French try to fight until the winter. Wolfe led the daring ground attack, and gained reputation as a risk taker. French surrender after 2 months. Effect: Opened the route to Quebec.

    Whta happened: British have 16000, they outnumber the French 4 to 1 but the French are ready and their snipers pin the British down, until they retreat.

    Montcalm asks for 4000 troops for the battle of Quebec, but only gets 400. Affect: They are no match for the British. Who won: Montcalm is a loser

    What happened: With the British ships approaching Quebec, the French sent fire ships toward the British, trying to disrupt their landing, but the ships burns before it gets to the British ships and is a failure. Effect: British succesfully reaches Quebec. Who won: British

    The British bombed Quebec City from their ships, They landed, and shut down food supply. People who couldn't fllee were trapped in the city. The siege lasted for 3 months. Effect: British take control of Quebec until the end of the war. Who won: British

    What happened: Wolfe leading troops up the steep cliff to try and take the city. Wolfe is sandwiched between 2 armies. Montcalm's troops do not wait for reinforcements, they attack, their attack disorganized, the British beat the French badly, and 5 days later, French surrendered. Effect: Concludes the war in Canada.
