Fort Sumter

The Second Battle of Bull Run

On August 28th, 1962 the Second Battle of Bull Run began. It was a very important victory for the South, whose generals were Lee and Jackson, with Pope being the general of the North. This battle was the most decisive battle in the Northern Virginia campaign for the confederates. This battle ended two days later, August 30th, 1862.

The final major military action was in the Vicksburg campaign of the American Civil War. This battle ended on June 4th, 1863, with the North claiming the victory.

This battle beginning on July 1st, 1863, and ending two days later was the turning point of the American Civil War. The general of the North was Meade, and the general of the South was Lee. The South claimed the victory of this battle.

Sherman's March

This march of the American Civil War took place on November 15h, 1864 from Atlanta, GA to Savannah, GA. The general of the North was Sherman, and the general of the South was Lee. This march showed the North was beating the South, and also helped Lincoln win his re-election.

Appomattox

This was the last battle of the American Civil War, taking place in Appomattox County, Virginia, ending on the same day it began. The general of the North was Grant, and the general of the South was Lee. Lee surrendered to Grant, thus ending the American Civil War.
