    France was always a secret partner with the Americans in the Revolutinary war and sent them many supplies. The Americans had created an alliance with the French and had many French troops come over to help in the war. This was important because the American's army number was low and they were running out of food, water, and vital supplies. With the French soldiers the Americans were exceeding and the tide of the war was turning.

  • The British Take Down Charleston

    The Battle of Charleston was a major win for the British and one of the hardest defeats for the Americans. The British were led by General Clinton and obliterated over 5000 American troops. The Americans had only so many soldiers in the Southern Region and after the war they had lost most of their troops. This was important to the Revolutionary War because it represented the fact that the British were powerful and could easily crush the Americans.
  • Lord Cornwallis Surrenders at Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown was the biggest victory in the Revolutionary War. Many French troops came to support the Americans by boat and destroyed the British with canons. This was important because it concluded the war. Cornwallis had surrendered with over 8000 troops and it was official;the Americans had won the war. Britain learned of the event a little bit later and declared a loss.
