Enzo describes a race Denny was in at Watkins Glen, and Eve becomes very sick. She leaves Enz locked in the house while she goes to the hospital. This is the beginning of Eve's cancer. Denny is forced to take over almost all of the household responsibilities. Then he gets another really good racing job. Last, Eve is very irretible forcing Zoe to eat old nuggets.

Denny signs over custody to Eve's parents. Him and Enzo at low points. They finally meet Denny's parents who then take care of Enzo.Denny ends his legal issues. At the end Enzo is reincarnated and meets the now champion Denny.
