it was in 1950's the first skateboard where made. No one knows who made it first but it was there is all started.. surfers started to think, why cant we surf in the streets. so they made surf board 's with wheels on. -

at this time skateboardoing was mostly downhill slalom or freestyle. no grinding no big air jumps. -
A life style
During the 80's skaters beagn to make their own life style. they began to make there own shirts shoe and much more. -
The first skate park.
The first skate park opened in the mid 90's.after that more and more people startet to use on skateboading. -
Skateboarding Becoming more Mainstream
Since 2000, skateboarding has become more mainstream, they hvae gotten better boards and clothes, there has opned a skate school, and there is even talk about it becoming an olympic sport.
