    The Soviets cut off food, water, medicine and other essential supplies to West Berlin. The purpose for it was like a punishment to West Berlin for falling under the western influence and a way to gain their trust into uniting the whole Berlin. The United States and its allies sent supplies by plane into West Berlin.

North Vietnam was invading South Vietnam because they wanted the country to be as one whole communist country. This concerned America because if Vietnam falls to Communist, then all of its neighboring countries will fall to communist as well which is known as the Domino Thoery.

    Glasnost and Perestroika are two policy words that mean change in government and economic and having rights from government. Mikhail Gorbachev was the General Secretary of the Communist party of Soviet Union who have seen the soviet economy collapse which he made a few changes in communism.

    On November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall have finally been knocked down since it's been almost three decades that it divided East and West Berlin. The wall falling down sybolize that the two superpowers were calling a truce.
