    The Spanish Civil War

    The revolt began by military officers in Spanish Morocco, then spread to Spain. Francisco Franco broadcasted a message to all army officers to overthrow Spain's leftist Republican government. Within three days the rebels captured Morocco, northern Spain, and other cities. Franco wanted to bring his army of Africa over to Spain. The Spanish King Alfonso held a vote to decide who should rule Spain. The majority picked to abolish the monarchy and sent Alfonso into exile.

    This was the annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany. Hitler basically bullied the chancellor of Austria to give him Austria. He then obiediently resigned. The president then refused to give them Austria and Germany invaded on March 12.

    Hitler was determined to annex Sudetenland, which was in Czechoslovakian but had a vast amount of Germans and resources. Referred to as a failed act of appeasement. The state of Czechoslovakia was not even invited to the conference. Britain and France agreed to give it to Hitler, which Czechoslovakia didint like.

    It is a piece of land between Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia named after Sudeten Mountains. Hitler wanted it because there was a lot of Germans in this area. Czechoslovakia could not stop Hitler. Czechoslovakia refused so Hitler marched in and took it with ease.

    A night time raid in which Nazis in torched synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, schools and businesses and killed close to 100 Jews. In the aftermath of Kristallnacht some 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to Nazi concentration camps

    (AKA The Berlin Pact) the Tripartite Pact was an agreement between Germany, Japan and Italy signed in Berlin by, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Saburō Kurusu and Galeazzo Ciano. It was a defensive military alliance that was eventually joined by Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Yugoslavia
