This pact stated that Germany and communist Russia were never to attack each other. Germany and The Soviet Union also signed a secret pact, that divided Poland among the two, sealing the fate of Poland.

    As this September day began, German air forces roared atop Poland military bases, airfields, cities, and railroads. They showed no mercy and destroyed and killed many, many civilians. They accomplished this with their newest war strategy, Blitzkrieg, also known as lightning war. The tactic was to take the enemy by surprise, with incredible amounts of force and firepower, with tanks and aircraft.

    Hitler had launched a surprise invasion onto Denmark and Norway in order to "protect" these countries freedom and independence, when in reality, Hitler was really trying to build bases along the coasts to strike Great Britain. Finally, Hitler had turned against a multitude of countries like the Netherlands and they were overrun by the end of May, The Phony war had ended.
