     President Franklin D. Roosevelt proposes a plan to enlarge the Supreme Court of the United States
    President Franklin Roosevelt announces an arguable plan to increase the number of the Supreme Court to as many as 15 judges, hoping to make it more efficient. Critics immediately claimed that Roosevelt was trying to “pack” the court and because of that neutralize Supreme Court justices hostile to his New Deal.

    Boston Redskins become Washington
    The 1937 Washington Redskins held their first season taking place in Washington, D.C. They would end that season by winning the 1937-38 NFL Championship game against the Chicago Bears, 28–21.The Boston Redskins had won the Eastern Division title the season before that , but had poor attendance, influencing the team to move south.

On 18 March 1937, at Cinisello airport near located near Milan, the plane was launched at a height of 9 m or 30ft.

    The explosion known as the New London School explosion occurred on March 18, 1937, this happened when a natural gas leak caused an explosion. This explosion destroyed the London School of New London located in Texas, a community in Rusk County previously known as "London". The terrible incident killed more than 295 students and teachers.

    The Hindenburg disaster occurred on Thursday, May 6, 1937. A German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught on fire and was destroyed during its failing attempt to dock with its mooring mast at Naval Air Station Lakehurst. Naval Air Station Lakehurst is located adjacent to the borough of Lakehurst, New Jersey, United States. Of the 97 people on it there were 35 fatalities 13 passengers and 22 crewmen.

    The Scottsboro Boys were nine African-American teens accused in Alabama of the raping two White American women on a train in 1931. An important stage or turning point in set of legal cases from this incident involved racism and the right to a fair trial. Charges were dropped on July 24.
