This is when Amir and Hassan particitpate in the Kite flying contest. Hassan is a loyal friend and helps and cares for Amir while he flies the kite. This is the chance for Amir to win Babas love. He finally does when he is the last kite standing.

Hassan gets raped by Assef

The same day as the Kite Flying contest Hassan gets raped. This is because Hassan had the last kite that got cut from the contest. Assef and his friends wanted the kite so they forcfully beat and raped him.

Amirs 13th B-day And Hassan Leaves

This is the day Amir turns thirteen. It is also the day that Rahim Khan gives Amir the journal and tells him that he should become a writer and follow his dreams. Also, later that week Hassan and Ali leave because of Amir's selfishness.

Baba and Amir leave

This is when Baba and Amir fled to America because of the Russian invasion. They later arrive in San Francisco where they will live for the reast of thier life.

Amir and Soraya Marry

Sohrab is born

This is when Sohrab is born. Hassan constantly writes to Amir and later in 2000 Sohrabs parents are executed and then Sohrab goes to an orphanage.

Sohrabs Suicide

Sohrab attempts to commit suicide due to the fact that he might have to go back to the orhpanage. He cuts his vains and tries to bleed out. Amir saves him and rushes him to the hospital.

Amir must save Sohrab

Sep 10, 1997

This is when Amir travels to save Sohrab. Amir fights Assef and finally feels better for never standing up for Hassan. He gets Sohrab and Amir must heal from injuries .

Amir and Sohrab

May 25, 2002

Amir and Sohrab make it to America and it is colse to New Years. Sohrab hasnt spoken since they arrived. Once it is new years Amir buys a kite and Sohrabs comes to join and fly it with him. This is the first time Amir has seen Sohrab smile and it is a happy ending. Yay.
