As a student, Gandhi was not the best. He never showed enthusiasm for sports or studies. Right to Vote

In 1906, South African government proposed legislation. This was enacted in the following year and required that Indians in South African get registered and fingerprinted. This was the only way they were allowed to move about. Gandhi found this insulting and organized an opposition drive using non violence acts. Compromise for Indians in South Africa
Over the year 1914, Gandhi protests finally got noticed. South Africa give a compromise settlement for Indians that had many benefits for them. Indians got the end of taxing their formerly indentured Indian workers, the recognition of Hindu and Muslim marriages as being legal, and a prohibition against importing indentured Indian labor. Entering the Indian National Congress
In 1920, Gandhi entered into the Indian National Congress. This was a political organization with a secular, all-India orientation. In an effort to eliminate tax on salt, Gandhi put on the Salt March. Due to the fact that salt was so important to Indians, he promoted a satyagraha. Gandhi Resigns from Congress
Gandhi, claiming the party had abandoned his strategy by supporting nonviolence, resigned from Congress. He resigned not only as a leader but as a member. His efforts were refused to uplift India by encouraging his countrymen to move simple. They were told to reject manufacture goods, develop their own handicrafts, and listen to him preach to them.
