Reconquista

There is not specific date for when the Reconquista started but it started in 722, and ended in 1492. The Reconquista is the name given to the wars waged by the vaious states of what is now Spain, (Spain wasn't one country in those days) to take Spain and portugal back from the muslims who ruled.

It was founded A.D. 330 as the new capital of the Roman Empire by Constantine I, which was named after. The fall of constantinople fell to the Ottoman armies of Mehmet ll.
