He was the first Chinese commoner since the founder of the Han dynasty.He became a leader in the red turban secret society that conducted uprisings against the Mongols.Hong Wu restored the han dynasty making himself the leader of the Ming. Hong Wu is referred to his name vast military achievement and boundless Valor. He restored the relationship between other countries and helped farmers by making sure they did not have to pay taxes on their land.
