ryan was born feb, 19th, 1998. the next five years of his life were spent in the instability of a country in the middle of civil war. in 1982, rhodesia became Zimbabwe and the robertson family moved to south africa on the coastal town of Gonubie.
he was involved in the beach life guarding as a teen during the summer.
by the time he was graduating he started to become more passionate in surfing. -

brysin was born on nov. 22nd and ryan was born on feb. 13 1978.
after four years when bryson was born their family decided to move to south africa. when they moved, ryan was sent to work with his uncle. when he came home he found out his parents moved to canada. -
what ryan thought about canada
ryan got forced to move to canada. he didnt want to come because he had a full time job in the summer being a life guard at the beach. he thought that if he moved he wouldnt be able to surf the big waves anymore. -

bryson and ryan robertson and hugh patterson set out to sail around the worl on a three-year circumnavigation. -
where they sailed to
they sailed from Cabo San Lucas, mexico, to the Marguesas islands, 5000 kilometers and 24 days away. -
what did they do inbetween?
when the guys sailed to an island they would stay there a few nights and go to schools and teach the children about polution, how to keep the beaches clean, and how to respect the ocean. -
what did they do for food?
they caught and prepared their own foods on the ocean and when they sailed to islands. they tried different types of foods becuase of the different cutures they met. -
what was their goal?
they wanted to inspire everyone they conntacted with considering their personal impact on the oceans by taking more care of it -
brysons goals
bryson wanted to be able to reaserch, study and educate himself and others as the effects of society on great oceans of the world. we wants to study reefs and their health as well as the waves that break along their contour. his second goal is to reaserch adventure and learn about the different cultures and people along their voyage. -
what bryson thought about canada.
bryson believed that canada is where he found a spirit for adventure began and nurtured. he dicided to continue his education at the university of victoria.
