    Prescott rode out to spread the word that 700 Bristish soldiers were headed their way. After the British took out 70 minutemen they headed to Concord only to find an empty arsenal and between 3,000 to 4,000 minutemen.

  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    Gage sent 2,400 Bristish soldiers up the hill. They held their fire until they were ready and started to fire at the redcoats. The colonists lost 450 men while the Bristish had 1,000 casualties.
  • Trenton

    On Christmas night Washington led 2,400 men in small rowboats across the ice-choked river. Then they marched to Trenton, New Jersey and defeated a garrison of Hessians.
  • Sartoga and Valley Forge

    In Octobre 17, 1777 Burgoyne surrendered in Sartoga which was the most important event of the war. Also, in Valley Forge more than 2,000 soldiers died, yet the survivers didn´t leave.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    French reinforcements led a command in virginia in the last years of the war. With help from European military leaders they had an effective fighting force.

    A continental mmajor wrote in his diary ¨This day will be famous in the Annals os history for being the first on whic the troops of the United States recieved one moths pay in coins.
  • Yorktown

    In september 1782 the delegates signed the Treaty of Paris which confirmed U.S independance.
