US Great Depression began
The US stock market crashes, leaving four million unemployed within 6 months. Production of goods is halted to a stop and the average person who is lucky enough to have a job only makes twenty five dollars a week. This is an important event in history because it forces the Unites States to stop trading with other countries and the use of a fixed currency helped spread the depression from the untied states throughout the world. -
Salt march.
In India while Mohandas Ghandi was the leader, Britian imposed a tax on salt. To peacefully protest againt this Ghandi took his poeple to the Arabian sea coast over 240 miles away to gather salt water and let it evaporate to gather salt for free. This is an important event in history because it was one first documented instances of a peaceful non-violent protest and showed what a civil disobedience was to the world and how powerful it could be. -

As a charismatic speaker Adolf HItler gains the support of German citizens, his plan was to do away with politics and make Germany a powerful, unified party state. He began to order rapid expansion of state police and with that the Nazi party was off and running and no one could do a thing about it. THis is an importnant event in history because it gives HItler the foothold he needs to start becoming a dictator and will eventually lead to the mass excution of people in Germany.. -
Reichstag fire in German Parliament
It was an Arson attack on a German Parliament by a young Dutch communist council member. This attack was seen as the Communists plotting to turn against the Nazi party. This is a important even in history because after this happened HItler ordered mass arrests of communists. The Nazi party also went from a plurality to a majorty, allowing HItler to consolidate his power. -

This was a militarian retreat where the Communist party of china went over six thousand miles to avoid the Kuomintang. THe route they took covered some of the most rugged terrian in china by traveling west then north. This is an important even in history because the Communists were able to avoid being killed and eventually over time world war one dragged china to forget abou thier war and focus on being together. It wad a display of determination to escape being killed. -

This was a riot on the night of November 9th against Jews throughout germany. Jewish owned stores, building's and Synagogues were all smashed. This is an especially important event in history becuase it is the first of many events that the Germans would do to the Jewish people. This was almost a precurser to much more brutal events. IT really took a tole on jews as nearly everything was ransacked or destroyed. It was just a taste as to what was going to be coming next. -
