The Korean War
It was at first a invasion of North Korea to South Korea to gain control. Later, the US benefited South Korea, and China with the Soviet Union benefited North Korea. It was later resolved with a armistice being signed and both North and South Korea being separated. -
Attempted Assassination of Harry S. Truman
The main cause of this event was that Puerto Rico was tired of being a colony of the US and wanted to become independent. It was carried by Militant Puerto Rican pro-independence activists Oscar Collazo and Griselio Torresola. This attempt was failed due to them failing to beat the White House security.

Creation of the 22nd Amendment
It was first passed in 1947 but was later ratified in 1951. It stated that no president shall not have a 3rd term as a president. It would be ratified by 48 states. -
Creation of the Mutual Security Act
It was created by Harry S. Truman. It was a foreign aid program to benefit poor countries. This would greatly replace the Marshall Plan. -
Brown V. Board of Education
Supreme Court case resolved in 1954. This court unanimously decided that separate race schools are unconstitutional. The court declared that that black students should go to school with white students.

Emmett Till's Murder
Young African american lynched in Mississippi. He was lynched for flirting with white girls. He was later found beaten to death by 2 white man.

Major war fought during the Cold War era. The battle was between the communist North Vietnam and the democratic South Vietnam. This war would be ended in 1973 with the U.S withdrawing its soldiers.

The Little Rock NIne
A group of nine African Americans trying to go to Little Rock Central High. After the court case of Brown V. Board of Education stating that everyone, no matter of race, can go to the same school, the state of Arkansas had a struggle with dealing with the decision. It was somewhat solved as Dwight D. Eisenhower sent in troops to help the black students to get in the school. -
The Berlin Wall
It was constructed between the east and west of Germany. The wall would separate the democratic West Europe and the communist of East Europe. Anyone trying to cross it would be shot and killed.
