    Event: Magna Carta Description: The Magna Carta was an agreement that the nobles of England made King John I sign that guarantees there rights. It limited the power of the king and protected certain rights for the nobles. Influence on the Declaration of Independence: It shows that people can have certain rights and that not everyhting you do has to be ruled by a king. Also it started the whole idea off independence from British rule.

    Description: The Mayflower Compact was an idea where the pilgrims split apart from England and became independent in America. The pilgrims became independent and had there own ways of life and own laws. Infuence on the Declaration of Independence: It showed that they were brave enough to become independent, it showed that all citizens could be free. It also showed that King John was not doing his job, which shown in the Declaration of Independence all of the greivances.

Influence on Declaration of Independence: The Enlightenment was a part of the main idea which held the big ideas of the Declaration of Independence. (Magna Carta, English Bill of Rights, etc.)

    Event: English Policies and Colinial Concerns Description:English policies and Colonial Concerns includes the French and Indian war, as well as the stamp act, sugar act, townshed act, and the tea act. Influences to the Decleration of Independece: English Policies and Colonial Concerns led to the writing of the Decleration of Independence. This led to Decleration to be written because the english colonial policies led to infuriate many colonist due to being taxed unfairly and treated harshly.

    Description: Natural Rights consist of the rights of all citizens as soon as they are born. Unalienable rights are also consisted,which contains life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
    Influence on the Declaration of Independence: Natural rights are a part of your freedom and independence, so every person has rights. The king that influenced the declaration to be written (King John) was not fair with the rights of the citizens and there freedom.

Influence in the Decleration of Independence: Rule of law influence the Declaration of Indepence, American legal, political, and govermental system by holding truths to be self-evident and saying on how all men are equal and that the goverment should protect our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

    Event: The British passed the Quartering Acts. Description: The British passed the Quartering Acts. Colonists were forced to house and feed soldiers. British troops searched peoples homes and took things they didnt pay taxes for. Influence on the Declaration of Independence: It showed the colonists that Great Britain was never going to stop invading their individual rights.

    Event: Thomas Paine wrote "Common Sense" Description: Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense to explain how Great Britain was ruling over the colonists. In the pamphlet he called King George a tyrant, challenged the authority of the crown, and called colonists to declare independence. Influence on the Declaration of Independence: It told the colonists how the king was unfair to them and why they should declare independence.

    Event: The writing of the Declaration of Independence. Description: The Founding Fathers wrote a letter to King George III telling him that they will no longer be under British rule. It was practically a break up letter to England. That is why on July 4th we celebrate, because we gained our freedom by writing the Declaration of Independence.

    Description: The Primary source being the legal document of the Independece, the secondary source being the interpretation of the Declaration of Independence. Influence on the Declaration: The Declaration of the Independece talks about wanting its own independence and trying to break free from the British. The Declaration states that King George the Third was a tyrant and "he has forbidden his goveners to pass laws if immediate and pressing importance...".
