    After WWII the peace settlement was between four major allied countries which where England, France, United States and the Soviet Union. It was not until 1990 that Germany was finally back together again. Due to the extension of being controlled by the Soviet Union and the allied countries. NATO was born, to ensure a WWII would not happen again.
