Battle of Horseshoe Bend
Andrew Jackson defeated Creeks the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. The treaty that ended the conflict forced Creeks to give up millions of acres of land. -
Wriring of the Star Spangled Banner
A poem that was inspired by the British attacking Fort Henry was written by Francis Scott Key. This would later become the nations national anthem. -
Harford Convention
Federalists suggested that the New England states should secede fom the United States. When the treaty wassigned the convention ended quickly. -

A treaty was written in Ghent to end the war on Chritstmas Eve.Both sides signed the treaty and ended the war. Everything was returned tothe way it was before. -
Battle of New Orleans
In the several weeks it took for the treaty to reach the United States, General Andrew Jackson had fought and won another battle at New Orleans.
