    The Fisrt Fleet
    The First Fleet were 11 boats that carried convicts from England to Botany Bay on 13 of May 1787 with their Captain, Captain Cook but then, it wasn't a suitable place due to the reason that it didn't have enough water supply. They were migrating becuase the English wanted more land to take cover, since back then, many countries wanted more land for themselves. In this history, Australian culture started, having thre English background with them.

    The Australian Gold Rush was found in 1820 but it didn’t officially start until 1850. Many nations came to Australia for the Gold Rush such as, America, Europe, Middle East and China. They migrated to Australia because they were interested on how the industry and the investment in Australians economic, or money. They came here because they wanted money for their family. This changed Australian culture by having many different backgrounds coming together

    World War 2 ended on November 11, 1918. Children and women mostly migrated to Australia because the war had ended and they don’t want to live in that type of environment, want to start a new life and to have a better life after what they have been gone through. This change our culture by having their own background, having to go through a tough time and Australian are strong people who go through hardship, that’s what Australian culture is about.

    World War 2 ended on September 2, 1945. People migrated to Australia because Australia needed more people to come so Australia can grow faster. Prime Sir Robert Menzies motto was, "Populate or perish." That’s why many migrants came to Australia and another reason is that many people who were during the war wanted a new life since they experienced something horrible. This changed Australian culture by having more new backgrounds and making Australian more stronger community.

    The Indochina migration is when Vietnamese and Cambodian people migrate to Australia because of the Vietnam War and they would travel in boats. The Indochina Migration and Refugee Assistance Act was passed on May the 23, 1975 when President Gerald Ford had a response to the Fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War. Many migrants came to Australia to have a new life and start fresh after the War. Australian culture also changed then because we have Vietnamese culture in us now.

    Mordern migration is when many people from around the world come to Australia to start a new life, have a better education or want to start fresh in a new country. Anyone can be a mordern migrant. They would usually use planes to come to Australia. This has changed Australian culture by more new backgrounds and have new cultures more to Australia.
