Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Hermosa, Illinois. Walt Disney was born into the family of Elias Disney that was an Irish-Canadian, and Flora Call Disney that was a German-American. He also had four siblings, 3 boys named Herbert, Ray, and Roy. He also had a sister named Ruth.

In 1911 Walt Disney's family moved to Kansa City. That is were he developed the love for trains.

The Dropout

In 1917 Walt Disney dropped out of high school to join the Army, but was rejected for being underaged. So insted he joined the red cross. He was sent to France to drive an ambulance.

Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966. He died because he was a obbsesive chain smoker. This was a habit that led to lung cancer that killed him. He died at 9:35 AM at age 65 at St. Joseph's hospital. He was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angelos, California.
