    Constantine The Great

    Constantine The Great
Constantine was the first Christian Roman Emperor. He created a policy of religious tolerance in February 313. If it wasn't for him Christians would have still been persecuted by the Romans. He was Roman Emperor from 306 to 337. I chose Constantine the Great because his reign was a turning point for Christianity in Europe.

The Fall of the Roman Empire

The Fall of the Roman Empire
The Fall of the Roman Empire was a significant event in history because it led to what was known as the "Dark Ages". It signaled an end of progress in most of Europe. When the Roman Empire began to decline it was the beginning of the end of any freedom in Europe for a long time. After the end of the Empire, the Church eventually gained a lot of power and became a strong force that was above everyone including the king. I chose this event because I felt that it is an important part of history.

I chose the Crusades because I found it very interesting and thought that it was an important part of history.

    Martin Luther

    Martin Luther
Martin Luther was a German priest who founded the Lutheran Church. He wrote the 95 Theses which challenged the Catholic Church and tried to bring about reform. Martin Luther helped to show the people that didn't have to listen to the Church. He told them to interpret the Bible for themselves and that they could be their own priests. He thought that faith alone could get you into heaven. I chose him because he spoke for what he believed in and did what he thought was right.
