Tea Act
On 1773 the British colonist got mad due to the taxes imposed on them by Great Britian. That night many men threw three shiploads of tea into Boston Harbor. This led to the Revolution War. Without this we would have to pay taxes for tea and that would cause us to loose more money faster. -
The Independence Awaits
This was the day when Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston drafted the Declaration of Independence This document got freedom from the British colonists monarchy. If the Declaration of Independence wasn't there we wouldn't have freedom. -
The Lousiana Purchase
This was they day when the day when United States bought 828,000 square miles of land in the Louisiana territory. This territory was really owned by France, but France gave it to U.S.A for $11,250,000. But U.S.A also agreed to forgive $3,750,000 worth of France’s debts. Without this land all the states in that location wouldn't be there, so less land for U.S.A. -
Slavery
The northern states started making slavery illegal in 1776. In 1804, the last northern state finally abolished slavery. But the south didn't really like that but they had to follow it. If the north didn't make slavery illegal the south would still have slaves. -
Trading Restrictions
The Americans declared war against the British Empire becuase of trading restrictions. This led to the White House to burn down and be built again. We wouldn't have freedom without this either. -
The Battle Of Alamo
This was the War of Alamo. This was a fmaous thing about Texas Revolution. In this war Santa Anna's troops attacked the Alamo which is San Antonio. Many (all but two troops) soldiers died in this war. If Santa Anna won we would be in control of Mexico and they would have our land. -
Gold Rush
At this time many people found gold in Sutters Mill in Coroma, California. Many workers and people trraveled to California for gold. Without this California wouldn't have so many people living in it. -
Civil War
The Civil War was between the north and southern parts in America. This war was caused becuase of slavery. The north didn't want slavery, but south did so brothers and brothers fought against each other. This war made America slave free. -
Lincoln's Death
On this day in Abraham Lincoln was assinated at the Ford's Theater. He was assinated by actor who was John Wilkes Booth, and Abraham Lincoln was the one who stopped slavery and was part of the Civil War. If he didn't die he could've got more done to helpU.S.A. -
Pearl Harbor Attack
1: On December 7, 1941, Japanese forces attacked Pearl Harbor, . This attack was an move to keep the U.S. Navy from guessing Japanese military actions. This led us to 4 years of battle, this is not good.
