After Hitler takes power he passes anti Jewish laws, allowing Germans to hate Jews legaly, and all Jews must be identified by yellow stars. Jewsish shops were either closed down or had little to no bussiness within them. -

To show Hitler ,and truely the world of the Italian military power, Mussolini sends troops to take over independent Ethiopia a land never taken over by outsidepowers. -

After The U.S started to gain victory after victory, many poeple in the U.S wanted to end the war quickly. This really began in 1939 when Germany an the USSR started to emerge as wold powers. (Date is not dead on but close to). This opend up new jobs and pulled the U.S out of the Great Dpression and after the Fall of Japan we bacme a world power and we still are. -
Nazi Germany invades West
Nazi Germany sends troops into Denmark and Norway. Denmark, with its small army, surrenders after the inital invasion. Norway holds on for a month or two. -
France invaded
After taking the majority of the Norhtern countries to France, Nazi Germany sends it forces through the Ardenns and into France. France surrenders on June 22nd 1940 and Britian evacuates at Dunkirk. -
Battle of Britian begins
Hitler wanted to quickly rmove Britian, as it posed a problem for his forces, as he planned to invade Russia. The Luftwaffe bagan a relentless bombing campaing against Britian to fore it to surrender. Britian did not give up and on October 31st 1940 Nazi Germany had its first giant defeat. -
March on Washington
The Black population demanded there was no segregation in work and the armed forces. This was lead by A. Philip Randolph. This movemnt however was unsuccsessful, but did allow the Blacks to join the military and opend up jobs for them when the U.S went to war. -
Lend-Lease
After hearing the news about France falling the U.S stays neutral but gives aid to its allies Britian and later on the Soviet Union. Lend-Lease was not to be repaid, but allowed Britian/ USSR to have more supplies to hold out against the Nazis who ravaged Europe. -
Nazi Germany invades Soviet Union
Just as Stalin ignored, Hitler wanted to invade Russia to free up much needed space for his future Nazi ran world. He referred to Russia as "living room". Hitler did so through "Operation Barbarossa". -
Manhattan Project
This was a group of U.S and a German scientist named Albert Enistien who delvolped splitting an Atom in two thus creating the worlds first nuke. The nuke was tested and deemed operational on the 13th of August 1942. Hiroshima and Nagasaki would be the two places the ONLY time nukes would ever be used in war. Soviet Union pushes Nazi forces out of the Moscow area
After the brutal Winter slowed the Nazi push into Moscow the Russians pushed the Germans back from their captial in a massive counter attack. -
Pearl Harbor
The Imperial Japanses Navy launches a suprise attack onto the U.S. naval base in Hawaii. A day later F.D.R dlecares war onot Japan and congress passes it. The U.S is now in the Second World War. -
German, Italian, and Japnese Americans all put into internment camps
This was an attempt to prevent anymore attacks onto U.S soil. This was a great idea to the governemtn but upset the U.S population. -
Battle of Midway
Japanese carriers are maing a dash to capture Midway. If they do, Hawaii would fall the the Japs. This battle ended in a major U.S victory that crippled the Japanese navy for the rest of the war. This was the end for the Imperial Japnese militray. -
German 6th Army marches to Stalingrad.
Stalingrad was a key producer for Russian military supplies and a communications hub. If taken by the Nazis Russia would fall in a year. -
Afrika Korps defeated at El Alamein
After Italy failed to take Egypt from Britian German forces had to be sent to help the Italians. After the Germans failed the British pushed them back to Tunisia where they surrendered. -
German 6th Army fails to take Stlaingrad
Another humiliating defeat for Nazi Germnay. 90,000 Germans surrendered to 1 million Russians. only 50,000 would make it out to the work camps in Siberia. -
D-Day
This was the largest sea borne and airborn invasion the world has ever seen. Once the allies, France U.S.A, Britian, and Canada got a foothold Germnay now had a 2 front war. -
Paris Liberated
After 4 yeras of Nazi occupation Paris is liberated. This now marked the end for German occupation in France and soon to be the entire West. -
Battle of the Bulge
After the intial attck on American lnes back in December 16th 1944 Nazi forces ran out of fuel and the U.S and British air attacks resumed. If Hitler had split the Allies they would have been forced to retreat. Hitlers main goal as well was to capture much needed fuel at Antwerp. -
U.S at the Rhine
After a massive German retreat from France, and a disaster that was The Battle of the Bulge, The U.S forces cross te Rhine river and begin to march on to Berlin. -
Encirlement of Berlin
After the Russian cracked the Zeelow heights defence they marched right into Berlin. The Russians wanted to capture it before the West did, to claim ultimate victory. The Battle for Berlin lasted to May 2nd 1945. -
Hitler commits suicide
After hearing that Germany would not last any longer Hitler killed himslef in fear of being captured by Soviet forces and killed. -
Fall of the Reich
After 7 years of brutal fighting the Reich takes its final breath and falls. On this day the Nazis surrener to the West and on the May 9th 1945 they surrender to the East.
