    Dropping of the atomic bomb(1945)
    On the day 1945, Japanese time, an American B-29 bomber, dropped in the Nagasaki and Hiroshima. It happened because United States told them to surrender, but they refused it. After the bomb between 60,000 and 80,000 people were killed instantly. The heat from the bomb was so intense that some people simply vanished in the explosion. Many more died of the long-term effects of radiation sickness. The final death toll was calculated at 135,000 and on August 15, Japan announced to surrender.

    Pearl Harbor(1941)
    The attack on Pearl Harbor has alway sparked the imagination. The attack on Pearl Harbor was intended to neutralize the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and hence protect Japan's advance into Malaya and the Dutch East Indies, where it sought access to natural resources such as oil and rubber. 3,500 American were killed or wounded in the attack on December 7, 1941. After the attack, it forced the U.S. into a war with Japan.
