    The Refugee Act of 1980 was created for the people who needed help from other countries that were being persecuted in their homelands.This act was made to admit needed refugees into the country.

    Iran had taken American hostages from the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. This event was a nation-wide crisis for the country as they counted the days for their return. They were finally released in January 20, 1981 after 444 days.

    Ronald Reagan was the 40th president of the United States; he was from the Republican Party and was famous for supporting conservatism. He was president from 1981 to 1989.
  • Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982

    This Act encouraged people to safely dispose radioactive materials rather than simply dump them in hazardous places.
  • Hubble Telescope

    The Hubble Telescope was launched on April 24, 1990. The Hubble Telescope was named after Edwin Hubble. This Telescope was used with the purpose of seeing the Milky Way from outer space to later on send pictures back to Earth.
