    Battle of Okinawa

    The Battle of Okinawa was said to be one of the bloddiest battles there were. However, even though the Allies turned victorious at this event, both sides lost many men. An interesting fact is that this battle took place on Easter Sunday.
  • Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings

    The United States dropped an atomic bomb in Japan in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This event in 1945 killed around 146,000 citizens in Hiroshima and about 80,000 in Nagasaki.

    The Truman Doctrine was used to give the right to the United States to help other democratic countries that either needed economic or military help. This Doctrine was made with the main purpose of influencing democracy throughout the World.

    The Marshall Plan was created on 1948, it was used to provide aid to Europe, specifically the West, where there were the most damaged countries after the events of the War. This Plan provided Europe with 15 billion dollars of aid to help those needed.
